Our Story

In July 2022, our family faced a devastating loss with the sudden passing of my father, who shared a special bond with my children.

When my daughter was an infant, she suffered a break to her leg that required her to wear a splint to walk. As a family, we dreamed of the day when she would no longer need the splint and could buy a normal pair of shoes.

That dream finally came true in 2023, just before her 12th birthday.

Had my father been alive, the first thing he would have done was take her out to buy a new pair of shoes. With this in mind, I bought a granddaughter’s birthday card and wrote a message from Grandad, expressing how proud he was of her. I slipped some money into the card, so that he could still buy her her first pair of shoes.

In that moment of her lifelong dream coming true, I couldn’t help but wish that her grandad could be there too, even if just for a second.

As I sealed the envelope, I instinctively wrote “Sent by Heavenly Mail”

The look on my daughter’s face upon opening the card was indescribable. We know that we are not the first or the last family to go through such a loss, but we believe that we can share a gift from beyond, keeping the love and memory of those we have lost alive in our hearts.
